Do you really need Lycra to be a serious cyclist?
There are many people who do not want to wear the stuff we usually wear and sometimes, I think they get treated as people who are not as serious.
What do you all think?
Just a fun topic saying what you bought last! It can be anything, not just bike stuff!
For me, it was bike stuff:
New road/gravel helmet from Bike Surgeon
New Garmin mounting bracket for the Chisel also from Bike Surgeon
Saw a couple people road biking the other day around where I live.
One ride had a stick with a flag at the end attached to his bike where a vehicle passing would have to keep a distance from him or they would hit the flag.
Have any of you ever seen this before? Do you think it's a good idea...
I've been sporting these really nice, insulated bib-shorts by The Black Bibs for a few years now.
I will wear them when it's cold but not freezing and use insulated leg warmers as well. If it's like it had been, cold in the mornings, and not as cold in the afternoon, that style it usually what...
I bought me a new mountain bike.
Bike Surgeon ordered it and it's on its way.
Specialized Chisel full suspension. It's my first full-suspension bike. It's also my first Specialized bike.
Supposed to be the lightest alloy bike on the market.
I'm really excited about it!
Howdy all,

In case you notice downtime, this is likely going...
Aside from the Dirty South in March, do any of you know of any good winter bike rides/races to go to?
Surely, there are still some going on during the colder months. If not, that might need to change!
In the winter months, do you typically slow down with your cycling routines?
Or do you take advantage of the lack of bugs and heat and increase your rides?
Or do you try to just do a lot of indoor trainer cycling? If so, do you ride on the trainer as much as you would outside when it's nice?
I'm partnering with RideIllinois.org this Friday at 3:30 PM at the trailhead for Tunnel Hill State Trail at the Village of Tunnel Hill.
We're going to ride to Breeden Trestle and back - around 5- or 6-miles total.
It's a short evening ride for anyone of all ages. Very family friendly which is...
How would you all rate typical SAG stops at organized bike rides?
Do you think SAG stops need more options? Is it enough? Is it not enough?
What would you change if you were in charge of a SAG stop for an organized bike ride or even a race?
