    The folks who put on the Beautiful Southern Ride in Carbondale have decided to end the annual ride. I hate to hear it. That's another great ride in Southern Illinois that's gone. I know the Superman Ride in Metropolis isn't doing as well as it used to do. I hope they continue it.

    I wear safety glasses at least. I had something get in my eye a few years ago and it was so bad I couldn't drive for a week. So, I'll always wear something now.

    How many miles in 2024?

    I had a goal of 2,000. I only got 1,200 but that's more than 2023. Buying the gravel bike had made me want to ride more. This year I'm going to do that. I might even get a trainer and figure out how to ride in the house somewhere.
