I just posted a race video on my page and about half way through all you hear is:
"slow is smooth, smooth is fast", "oof that wasn't smooth", and "eyes up Justin!"
I say all that, but we do have quite a few of the older generation and from my experience the most dangerous drivers fall in that group. I rarely get buzzed or nearly hit by someone on their phone, its always a retirement age human not paying attention. Last night at the refuge I nearly got side...
I think for the most part in the Carbondale/Marion area most people are pretty tolerant of us. I have the occasional issue, but for the most part its fine.
Definitely not on all my rides. Some races i will record. I have a mount for under the saddle (rear facing), under my garmin (front facing) and a chest mount. Each serves a purpose depending on the story i want to tell.
Sometimes i keep the footage to myself but I also post to my YT channel...
Usually these take place in a park, and depending on the technicality of it you can get a lot in a small space. Courses are typically 1.5-3 miles in length.
