I find the knickers are the right length for a lot of cooler days. Sometimes the full bore tights are the play, but i've had pretty good luck with just knickers during CX season
I honestly think that riding at night is better. I don't have a varia light or any vehicle detection so i like being able to see the lights coming up from behind. Also I feel like the rear blinky lights stand out far better on the night sky than they do during the day.
I try for a more consistent food in situation, but that's because it's hard to shovel in lots of food when riding for me. I try to consume every 10-15 min
I definitely prefer padded bib-tights. The tights over bib shorts works, but i find the two materials are both extremely slick and i end up with tights falling off
For XC sure, but most of the time i prefer to be comfortable when MTB'ing. Also skinsuits are expensive and that makes wrecking costly (physically and financially).
