    We need to change that! I think cycling parents are the answer! If I had kids or my step kids ever give me grandkids, I'd want more than anything to help them love cycling. I'd definitely be interested in doing it!

    I agree. E-Bikes and even regular bikes. There is an old gas station across the street from Ned's Shed. If I had that and the capital, I'd be a bike shop + rental shop right there.     I'm glad they're riding with them, but I really feel like one could be created here. Schools could help get kids on board. It's also a healthy initiative.

    I love all of your suggestions! I do think we're starting to see some infrastructure improvements in the bigger cities in Southern Illinois. Bike rentals would be a great idea! If I could afford to get into that, I definitely would.

    Welcome Jerry! You might be close enough to join St Nicks bike club in Du Quoin. They do both road and gravel riding the last time I checked. I feel like there is a Mt Vernon cycling scene, too. I want to say General Tire (or whatever it is now) has a bunch of riders working there.
