Early morning riding routes

What are your favorite early morning cycling routes in Southern Illinois?

Why do you like these routes? Are they less traveled by cars? Scenic? A mix?

In summer, I usually start riding around 7:00 before it gets too hot. This time of the year I usually don’t ride until about noon on the days it’s warm enough to ride.

Being retired gives me a lot of flexibility on timing.

Yours is more useful. Outside of academia and sports science i dont really have a job.

I was going to move to New York City and try to work my way up through NYPD to intelligence or attempt to get into an alphabet agency.

Then I started biking and hiking, LOL.

Now, I'm home. :)
