Where in Southern Illinois will you not go riding?

This could be for road, gravel, and mountain bike riding.

Why will you not ride at this location?

Pretty much any state Highway. I try to stick to gravel or chip & seal roads.

I don't like getting on state highways, either.

When I did a big stretch of the TransAm ride through Southern IL, I felt uneasy most of the time because the highways suck so bad for cyclists.
